Celebrate at the Italian Hall
Three event spaces at 201 Piazza Italia, home of San Antonio's Italian Society since 1890. Room for up to 220 guests.
Weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries and fundraisers
Families have gathered in this hall for more than a century. Rent one space or combine all three for a ceremony in the courtyard, cocktails in the piazza and dinner upstairs.
Event coordination and tours are handled by our partner, The Wedding Producer. Members of the Italian Society receive a discount.
The Renaissance Room
The upstairs banquet room, with chandeliers, a dance floor and murals of the Italian countryside. A ladies' dressing room with a private bath is next door.

The Courtyard & Piazza
A lighted brick courtyard with a stone fountain and string lights overhead, used for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours and evening parties.

2026 rental rate
for a five-hour event, plus up to 2 hours of setup beforehand and 1 hour of cleanup after.

Members in good standing (dues paid by March 31) receive a discount. Read the full terms in the 2026 rental contract.
Food and drink
- Bring the caterer of your choice. Food, coffee and tea may be catered in.
- The Society runs the bar, serving beer, wine, soft drinks and bottled water.
- Outside beverages, kegs, drink machines and bar mixers aren't allowed.
- You may bring champagne, with a $5 corkage fee per bottle after the first.
House rules
- The hall is non-smoking. A $5,000 fee applies if this rule is broken.
- Candles and open flames need approval from the board in advance.
- Guests arrive at your contracted start time. Vendors can set up during your setup window.
- Running more than 30 minutes past your end time adds an extra hour.

Questions
Do I need to be a member to rent the hall?
No. Anyone can rent the hall for a private event. Members in good standing pay a discounted rate. Learn about membership.
How many guests can the hall hold?
The Renaissance Room and the Courtyard each hold up to 220 guests. The Venice Room holds up to 150.
Can I bring my own caterer?
Yes. Food, coffee and tea can be catered in by the vendor you choose. Drinks are served by the Society's bar.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 30 days before your event and you're refunded what you've paid, minus the damage deposit. Within 30 days, the deposit isn't refunded.
How much setup time do I get?
Up to 2 hours before your event, arranged with the hall manager at least two weeks ahead, and 1 hour afterward for vendors to clean up.
