Samuel (Sam) Guido - In Memoriam
Samuel Joseph Guido, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of the Italian-American community in San Antonio, passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 69 years old.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1956, Sam built a life rooted in family, faith, and service. He spent over 25 years as an accomplished salesman with Sysco food service, where he was respected for his work ethic, integrity, and personal relationships.
Sam was a proud leader in the Italian community, humbly served as president and board member of the Christopher Columbus Italian Society and recognized as The San Francescani Man of the Year. He dedicated countless hours to CCIS and the San Francescani Society—causes that were deeply close to his heart. His commitment to preserving and celebrating his heritage and tradition left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patti Guido; his sons, Matthew and Andrew Guido; his daughter in laws Christine and Mercedes Guido and his cherished grandchildren, Ezra and Everly Guido. He is also survived by his brother, Gene Guido, and his sister, Mary Paglia.
